TRADE DESCRIPTIONS

You must not make any false statements about your facilities or the services you offer to guests. This applies to your leaflets, brochures and, if you have one, your web site. For example, do not claim all rooms have beautiful views of Snowdonia when if fact that only applies to one room.

Also claiming that your establishments have more stars than granted by a recognised organisation is illegal.

The trading standards department based at your local authority will give you guidance on the trade descriptions legislation.
